A4e offers a range of services to help you take control of your care and lead an independent life.

As the second largest provider of Direct Payments services in the UK, you can trust A4e to deliver a reliable, personalised service. We offer a care-at-home support service which puts you and/or your family in charge of who visits your home to provide care, using the 'Direct Payments' system.

Through Direct Payments, care at home can be provided from trusted friends, family members (not usually living in the same house) or professional care workers.

The assistants selected by you and/or your family can then receive payment for this care on an hourly rate that you set yourself. You will receive funding for these payments from your Local Authority’s Social Services department.

Our advisers can help you recruit, select and manage your assistants, and will be on-hand to offer support and guidance with all aspects of the process. If you think Direct Payments might be for you, contact your local A4e branch to talk things over.
