Meet the A4e Team in South Gloucestershire

Welcome to the South Gloucestershire Direct Payments Support Service. We provide a comprehensive service to people living in South Gloucestershire in receipt of Direct Payments. We work closely with South Gloucestershire Community Care Department to support people to have choice and control in the care services that they receive.

We have an office base in Kingswood but work throughout the county often visiting people at their homes or other suitable locations.

We can help you with the whole process of moving onto Direct Payments from giving you all the information you need to make a decision about whether or not to have a Direct Payment to advice and support to manage a Direct Payment. We can offer you help and support with:

• Setting up bank accounts
• Financial record keeping
• Easy guides to managing Direct Payments
• Answering questions and Direct Payments queries
• Considering assessed care options
• Changes in personal circumstances
• Help to find an agency

If you decide to employ your own staff we can also support you with:

• Help with all aspects of recruiting, from creating job ads, sending out job packs and short listing applicants
• Helping you to understand and carry out your employer responsibilities
• Providing health and safety advice and carrying out workplace risk assessments
• Payroll services
• Direct Payments legislative changes that affect employment regulations
