Meet the A4e Team in Southwark
Welcome to the A4e Independent Living Support Service in Southwark. We work in partnership with Southwark Social Services to promote independence, choice and control for people living within the borough accessing social services.
Within the team, we have a wealth of experience in the area of Social Care and other related fields. We are multi-lingual and between us speak French, Spanish, Italian, German and Portuguese. One of our team even speaks basic Chinese Mandarin! Qualifications include teaching, management and interpreting.

What can we offer you?
We offer a variety of support with the aim of making Direct Payments as easy and trouble free as possible. We will help you with:
Recruiting care staff including advertising, short listing & interviewing;
Employing care staff including job descriptions, contracts & training;
Contracting with a care agency.
We facilitate a Service User Support Group (peer support) for people on Direct Payments. We also run training sessions on a variety of topics for both professionals and for those receiving Direct Payments at a variety of accessible venues across Southwark.
We can help you in variety of ways including telephone communication, e-mails, letters and visits to you, either in your home, or at a convenient venue. We offer the facility to assist you, or a person nominated by you, outside of office hours, and in some cases, out of borough (by prior agreement only).
Payroll Service
We can provide support with running your own payroll when you become an employer. Our dedicated and enthusiastic Payroll Team based in Middlesbrough are committed to delivering an excellent payroll service. The team has grown over the last year and now consists of Ruth Boden who is the Team Leader, 4 Payroll Officers - Catherine Fielding, Laura Anderson, Melly Shea and David Peacock, plus 1 Payroll Processor - Aleksandra Bebenek. If you would like to discuss the options open to you or wish to purchase our service through the Direct Payments Scheme, please contact us on the number below.
We are based at a fully accessible office near the Oval (SW9) in South West London. Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 9.30 am to 5.00 pm.
